GDS - Camp Excel

Volunteering for Growth & Development Services has proven to be an incredible supportive learning experience. Generally, volunteers who are interested in working directly with the teens are first recruited for positions as camp counselors, activity specialists, or staff at Camp Excel and then participate in the year-round Excel Program.

If you are interested in working directly with our teens, you must be at least 21 years old and complete a one-day training and orientation, as well as a four-day sleep away camp.

It is also possible to volunteer for GDS without direct contact with our teens through activities such as fundraising, public relations, and administrative work.
